Bio

For the last 26 years, Ryan Sande has been performing for various audiences throughout Central Alberta and the rest of Canada. In the early years, Ryan developed his music writing and performance skills as the rhythm guitar player and lead singer/songwriter for Alberta based band Common Ruin. Ryan's new music often incorporates a unique finger picking guitar style that is combined with lyrical content that reflects his personal interests in family history, philosophical perspectives on society, and relational dynamics between people. Although Ryan still performs with Common Ruin, more often Ryan is sharing the stage with his wife, pianist and singer/songwriter Corynn Wylie. This musical partnership has created a unique harmony filled full band sound with Corynn playing piano and contributing vocals while Ryan plays a one man band set up with guitar, vocals, and drums at his feet. Some notable performances include opening up for The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and sharing the stage with James Keelahan and Fred Eaglesmith. Other notable performances include Alberta’s North Country Fair, South Country Fair, Central Fest, and Mountain View Music Festival.
